Our Story
Vibrant Voices was born from founder Sabrina Blevins’s belief that safety and dignity should never depend on who you are. For more than ten years, Sabrina served in North Texas law enforcement, leading investigations into sexual assault and family violence and fighting to make every interaction trauma-informed. In 2021 she embraced her identity as a transgender woman—only to find the profession she loved could not always practice the inclusion it preached. Experiencing discrimination from within drove home a hard truth: if bias can silence a colleague, it can certainly silence the survivors and community members officers vow to protect.
Turning that realization into action, Sabrina left policing and poured her experience into building intensive, trauma-informed investigation training for officers across Texas. A local victim-advocacy nonprofit gave the first platform, and the response was immediate: departments needed practical, empathy-centered tools. Sabrina expanded her curriculum, adding interactive workshops that help professionals in healthcare, public safety, education, and corporate settings create environments where LGBTQIA+ people—and indeed everyone—can thrive.
Those workshops became Vibrant Voices LLC in 2025. Today, Sabrina leads regional, national, and international trainings that blend lived experience with evidence-based best practices. Whether guiding a Fortune 500 boardroom or a grassroots nonprofit, Vibrant Voices stands on a simple conviction: when we lift society’s most marginalized voices, we elevate us all.
